OVERVIEW

A Level (or Storey) is an abstract object within the Hero Data Model that represents a Reference Plane at which other Model objects are contained within.

Levels act as Reference Planes so that height of objects can be determined based on that Plane, rather than requiring absolute heights above ground.

BASEMENT LEVELS

Basement levels (ie levels who floor level is below ground) can & should be modelled within Hero where they have adjacent dwellings.

Basement levels should be modelled with a negative Height representing the height below natural ground level that the base of the basement level resides at.


LEVELS WITHIN THE VISUAL VIEW

Levels can be created, edited, moved & deleted primarily through the Level View contained on the Visual View’s Top Toolbar.

LEVELS WITHIN THE DATA-GRID

Levels are optionally used organisationally within the Data-Grid as a Group-By option that can be used to organise Model objects .
