Downloading
64-bit Installer vs 32-bit Installer
Note |
---|
Make sure you have downloaded the correct version of Hero for your Windows operating system. Most modern computers have 64-bit architecture but on older machines may still be 32-bit. While the 32-bit version of Hero can be installed on 64-bit machines (though we highly don’t recommend!), the 64-bit installer will not be able to run on a 32-bit machine. You can check what Windows operating system you are using by accessing the “About you PC” setting screen in Windows and checking the “System Type” detail within the Device specifications section of that page. Download the correct installer based on your operating system. |

If you are having issues running the Hero Windows installer, please try the following possible solutions:
Info |
---|
Ensure you have downloaded the correct installer for your operating-system (see above). |
Note |
---|
Ensure you have saved the Hero Installer file to an appropriate folder on your device that allows applications to be run & installed from within. Many “temporary” folders that browsers use to download & run files from the internet do not have appropriate permissions to install. Try saving the installer file to a “Download” or “Documents” or similar normal folder on your device before attempting to run the installer again. |

Ensure you are either logged onto Windows as the Administrator account or install Hero using administrator rights by right-clicking the Hero installer file and choosing “Run as administrator”. |
